My old monitor died on me, so on Friday I went to Futureshop and bought this beautiful Samsung 24" Widescreen LCD monitor. It has a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200, 5ms response time, and can support 1080P High Definition. Very sleek design, has a "touch screen" style power button, so you just lightly touch the area where a normal button would be and the monitor turns on.
The 25.5" one of the same series was also at the store for about $50 more, but with Futureshop staff being less than helpful, and the only monitor remaining being a display model...I went with the 24". It's more than enough for what I'll be using it for, and it's so big it's like watching a Television. I'm also kind of glad I didn't get the 25.5", because the 24" was incredibly awkward to carry back home.
Price tag was reasonable, and I just sold another Airsoft gun for over $500, so I was able to easily afford this monitor.
Another new addition is my refurbished Canon Rebel XT DSLR camera. I also picked up a small bag to carry it in, memory card, and two lenses...one a 50mm fixed lens, and the other an 18-55mm lens. It's quite a lot of fun to go out and take pictures, and have your pictures turn out semi-professionally.
Finally...a few pictures from when Chris and I went out to Vincent Massey Park with our cameras.
