Sorry for the picture quality, the lighting in my room is really bad.

Just a quick post, showing the before an after shots of my hair. Just got it cut for the first time in 3 months. Opinions?

I have one last assignment to do, then I have a nice long while to study for exams.

Visa Monopoly & The Final Test

Just won a game of Monopoly (someone left, so I took their spot)...was getting a bit late and kind of boring with only too people left in the game, so the other guy dropped out. I had a great time writing my Film Studies test, it seemed relatively easy. I passed in both of my assignments, and got to all my classes with little sleep...

...the story behind that is that I had just finished my Film Studies test and just slumped down in my chair in residence as soon as I got back. I was tired, as I had been up to 3am studying for the Film Studies test the night before. I realized around midnight that I had to wake up at 7am for class, I had completely forgotten. Last night was really weird, I was either dreaming or hallucinating...because the darkness of our room suddenly started changing colors (as if the black was changing to red, then blue, then green, then purple, etc.) I finally looked over at the clock after tossing at turning...6:30am...I hadn't slept at all yet and I had no idea why. I got up though and that's all that matters, even if I had a massive headache and needed to drink an Energy Drink to stay awake.

Looks like we'll be getting our History essays back before the end of the month, same goes for our Film Studies tests. I have one assignment due for the end of the month in Journalism: I have to make up a story as if it was for a newspaper. It has to be real, and I have to go interview at least 2 "live" sources. My story so far is about the Asbestos notification we received about our residences...If I haven't mentioned this before...we got a notice saying that the ceilings and floors in our residence were laced with asbestos and if these parts of res were damaged we could face risk of getting health disorders :(

Now I have a day off tomorrow to get some R&R and some studying in before my French Test on Saturday Morning (!!!).

Cheers,
Andrew

Big Weekend

Took Friday to do my interview with a classmate for our Journalism profile assignment, then went over to a friend's house for the night...as opposed to waking up really early and getting to his house by bus. From his house, we got picked up and went to my third Airsoft game.

Game was slow at first, but eventually picked up as the day went on. It was a bit chilly, but all that running around made us very hot by the end of the day. Our ride (and us) left before the game was over, but we got about 6 hours of play time in, I just got back to residence at 6:30pm...but got into Ottawa at 5:30pm (missed my bus at the station...had to wait for the next one).

Now I'm off to supper, because my stomach is growling, and then I'm coming back to residence to finish writing my Profile assignment. If I have enough time I'll get some work in on my English essay too.

Unfortunately...Monday is not a holiday in Ontario. So a little less time to study and do assignments, but I only have two classes...so I have lots of time to still do my work.

Cheers,
Andrew

Busy Busy.

I have an english essay (3-4 pages), a Film Studies test, a French written test, a French Online test, a profile interview, a profile essay (1-2 pages), make up a story idea for a newspaper article, do my readings of books and the newspaper...as well as go to the gym for exercise, have a bit of relaxation time for myself, and do the laundry too. I also need to find time to eat and sleep ;)

Basically, I won't be able to blog for the next two weeks...might get something in for this weekend but expect not to hear from me for awhile.

Unfortunately laundry here is quite expensive, tonight I have to do two loads ($6 total) plus an extra load for my sheets and pillow cases ($3)...so in total I'll be paying about $9 to do my laundry for one day! So now I'm off to transfer some money for laundry, which I have to do at the front desk.

Cheers,
Andrew
