Well, it's been almost 4 months since I first came to Carleton. Looking back on this past term, I really can't believe how fast it all went by.
Fine. So it's not really over just yet. I still have three more exams to go to, an extensive amount of studying, present wrapping, cleaning (clothes), and packing to do. All in one...final...week...of school.
I took a bit of a break today, I got a bit of fresh air and went to the movies. I watched the premiere of I am Legend. I had read the novel that the movie was 'loosely' based upon, so I was really looking forward to Will Smith's new blockbuster. I enjoyed the movie up until the ending, which was quite a lot different from the book's ending. The movie's ending was abrupt, as if the film makers realized they were recording too much and just hit the stop button...splicing together the ending. I won't ruin the ending, for anyone that may go out and see the movie. Aside from the ending, which wasn't really bad...it just wasn't what I was expecting, the movie is great and I recommend it to anyone looking for a thriller movie.
I finished my History Exam on Wednesday, it went well...not great...but well. I stared at the question sheet for nearly ten minutes before I started to remember facts about the people listed on the page. As I got going, I remembered more and more. Of course there were some things I was oblivious to, luckily I could pick 8 of 9 items on the list! The short essay questions were a lot easier, one of which I had done my long 12 page essay on, so it was a breeze to condense my prolonged essay into a good 2-3 pages.
I was really nervous going into my first exam, and coming out of my first exam. Hopefully I'll be a lot less nervous for the next one!
See you all soon & Merry Christmas!
Cheers,
Andrew
